Council approved traffic safety amendments to create a three-way stop at the intersection of Essex Dr and Kipling Dr. At the same meeting it adopted an updated Community Improvement Plan focused on housing, downtown revitalization and Brownfield redevelopment. The plan activates most incentive programs for the duration of the Housing Accelerator Fund agreement, linking new local measures to a longer-term provincial funding commitment already in place.

Infrastructure and Parking Measures

City Councillors approved a $30 million increase to the Avonlough sewage pumping station project to accommodate approximately 9,000 residents. Separately the City introduced a new parking program allowing free parking for up to two hours in municipal lots within downtown Belleville's Business Improvement Area, effective July 2, 2026.
