Belleville Council Approves Capital Funding, Traffic Changes, Housing Plan

Belleville City Council passed the 2026 borrowing By-law to fund approved capital projects and approved $600,000 in blanket purchase orders for fleet repairs allocated to Prevost, Rush Truck Centre and Premier Truck. The same meeting approved traffic By-law amendments that establish a three-way stop at Essex Dr and Kipling Dr. Council also adopted an updated Community Improvement Plan focused on housing and downtown revitalization.

Capital funding and fleet maintenance

The borrowing By-law supplies resources for projects already approved in the capital plan. The $600,000 in purchase orders covers repairs across the municipal fleet.
