Montparnasse Training Providers Expand Programs Following Major Campus Moves
Local training providers and national measures set the stage for expanded offerings and recruitment in the months ahead.
How we reported this
H3 HITEMA recently opened a new information technology campus on rue du Cotentin in the 15th arrondissement dedicated to IT training and apprenticeship programmes. ETSUP has relocated its services and training rooms to the 46th floor of Tour Montparnasse and has begun hosting the first groups of CAFERUIS trainees. These facility changes coincide with the planned nationwide rollout of the CHAMS scheme and updated teacher recruitment numbers for 2026.
Facility Changes at Established Locations
The H3 HITEMA campus on rue du Cotentin now hosts courses previously delivered elsewhere, allowing students to access dedicated IT and work-study options in central Montparnasse. ETSUP’s move to the upper floors of Tour Montparnasse provides additional space for its training activities and has already welcomed initial CAFERUIS cohorts. Both organisations operate within the same neighbourhood, creating new options for residents seeking local post-secondary pathways.
CHAMS Extension to All Academies
The CHAMS arrangement, tested during the 2025 school year, will be introduced across every academy at the start of the 2026 school year. Schools will therefore need to adjust timetables and staffing to accommodate the adapted mathematics and science schedules. Local education offices in the 14th and 15th arrondissements will decide how to phase in the model at participating collèges and lycées.
Teacher Recruitment Results for 2026
Official figures show 24 531 candidates passed the national recruitment competitions in 2026, compared with 16 311 the year before. This increase supplies more qualified staff for the expanded CHAMS classes and for the new training programmes now housed at the H3 HITEMA and ETSUP sites. Academies will determine how to allocate these additional teachers during the coming rentrée.
School Support Calendar and Next Steps
The Montparnasse Rencontres association completed its summer secretariat closure between 11 July and 17 August 2025 and resumed after-school support on 15 September 2025. Families can contact the organisation directly for current session details. Prospective students and parents should consult the websites of H3 HITEMA, ETSUP and Montparnasse Rencontres to confirm enrolment procedures and opening dates for the 2026 academic year.
