Belleville Restaurants Launch Summer Menus and Extended Hours This July
Belleville eateries roll out new summer menus and extended hours as July heat sets in.
How we reported this
Belleville added 18 new restaurants and cafes in the first half of 2026, bringing the city's total dining venues past 320.
Global shipping disruptions from the Strait of Hormuz closures have raised imported ingredient costs by 12 percent since May, pushing more kitchens to source from farms within 150 miles of the city limits. Diners here respond by booking earlier for weekday lunches and seeking fixed-price options that lock in local produce.
Riverfront and Old Town picks
The Grill at Riverbend on Main Street now serves a $32 three-course lunch built around tomatoes and corn from nearby Green Valley Farm. Two blocks inland, Harvest Table in the Old Town district expanded its patio to 40 seats and added a Tuesday night prix-fixe at $48 featuring heritage pork from suppliers in the county's western townships.
Belleville Tourism's June report recorded a 45 percent jump in dinner reservations compared with the same month last year. Average entrée prices sit at $28, with the steepest increases on seafood dishes that rely on air freight.
Next steps for diners
Reservations for the new waterfront spots open online July 15 at 10 a.m. Walk-ins remain available before 5:30 p.m. at most Old Town addresses, though lines form quickly on weekends. Check each venue's site for updated hours through the end of August.
